Capitainer’s self-collection kits for blood now available from You Do Bio
Capitainer is a Swedish manufacturer of kits for self-sampling of blood, and automated sample processing equipment.
The Capitainer sampling kits are easy to use, accurate, and trusted. The design is patient-centric, which allows for self-sampling with high accuracy and a high success rate, even for first-time users.
We are thrilled to announce that we have teamed up with Capitainer to provide bioscientists and researchers with a simple and easy solution to blood and plasma self-sampling!
The sampling is accurate and precise via a volume-defined method that eliminates the need for traditional pipetting. The kit is designed for accurate quantification of 2×10 μl of the blood. Most of the conventional dried blood spot tests allow for qualitative or semiquantitative analysis, but Capitainer’s sampling kits can be used for quantitative clinical tests.
The tests have integrated successful sampling indicators. They also have a built-in drying space which reduces the time necessary to prepare the sample and enables the sample to be sent for analysis right away – as effortlessly as sending a regular mail. The technology used could easily become the next generation of established, trusted standard in the industry.
In addition to the sampling kits, we offer Capitainers Semi-Automated Puncher. It enables the automation of sample processing. To reduce the manual sampling errors, the sample barcodes are scanned and stored, and the process is optically monitored to ensure the correct placement of the sample. As a bonus, the device is ergonomically designed.
