DAPI Nuclear Stain – Product Overview

DAPI (4′,6-diamidino-2-phenylindole) is a widely used blue fluorescent nuclear stain that binds strongly to A-T rich regions of DNA. It is suitable for fixed and live cell imaging, commonly used in fluorescence microscopy, cell imaging, and counterstaining protocols.

Available Formulations

1. DAPI, 1 mg/ml in Water

  • Ready-to-use for rapid nuclear staining
  • Suitable for direct application or further dilution

2. DAPI, Solid Powder

  • Long-term storage and high flexibility
  • Enables custom stock concentrations

Excitation/Emission

  • Excitation: ~358 nm
  • Emission: ~461 nm (blue fluorescence)

Applications

  • Fluorescence microscopy of nuclei
  • Live and fixed cell imaging
  • Counterstaining in immunofluorescence
  • Quantification of nuclear content
