The PuroSPIN-96™ Gel Extraction Kit is designed to provide a simple and easy-to-use method for extraction and purification of DNA samples (100 bp − 10 kbp) from agarose gels.

This purification technology is based on dissolving the gel embedded DNA in a buffer solution, followed by nucleic acids binding to 96-well silica membrane purification plates, which allows for efficient removal of gel residues and other contaminants. Purified DNA is eluted from the silica column into a clean 96-well collection plate in Elution Buffer EB, or nuclease-free water.

96-well silica membrane plates provide a high-throughput alternative to individula spin column, allowing 96 samples to be purified simultaneously.

The PuroSPIN™ buffer formulations produce highly purified DNA for downstream applications such as PCR, restriction-enzyme digestion, ligation, labeling, or sequencing.
