Microplates made from Bioplastic
Say hello to the Green Elephant® 96-well bioplastic microPLAtes made from polylactic acid (PLA) that align quality and performance with your sustainability principles.
Made in Germany and 100% from plant-based material, our microPLAtes are available in three configurations to enable sustainable practices in every field of 96-well plate assays: white 96-well PLAte, black 96-well PLAte, clear 96-well PLAte.
PLA (polylactic acid) microplates: an eco-friendly alternative.
The microplate carbon footprint is reduced by 50% compared to traditional polystyrene plates. This is attributed not only to the COâ‚‚ absorption by the plants used to produce PLA but also to its energy and water-efficient manufacturing process.
Green Elephant® 96-well microPLAtes reduce emissions without compromising performance. Made from plant starch based biopolymer, they meet the same high standards as conventional plates. Performance data, chemical stability and validation can be found in our application notes.
Uses:
- Fluorescent viability & enzyme activity assays
- Fluorescent DNA/RNA quantification
- Fluorescent ROS, membrane potential & ion flux studies
- Fluorescent reporter gene systems & protein tags
- Fluorescent intracellular pH & environment probes
These 96-well microPLAtes are thoroughly tested for toxicity, structural integrity, and reproducibility. With strict manufacturing standards and the production in Germany, you can rely on consistent quality for reliable results, while meeting your environmental targets.
